QMDC is a not-for-profit organisation that provides natural resource management (NRM) and environmental services in the region defined as the Queensland Murray-Darling Basin.
Our team specialises in pest and weeds, soil conservation, biodiversity, water quality, community capacity, education, climate, energy and waste, mapping and GIS, and Aboriginal cultural site management.
We work closely with Landcare and maintain corporate partnerships to help business in the region meet their environmental and sustainability goals.
We are funded through the Australian Government's National Landcare Programme and the Queensland Government.
We also have a commercial arm - Swift NRM - which offers a variety of pest animal control, soil conservation and NRM training services to both public and private sectors.
