Well-travelled Canberra sprinter Voice Commander is back in Brisbane. Trainer Nick Olive is eyeing off today's $200,000 Lough Neagh Stakes at Doomben. Voice Commander made light of 59.5 kilograms to win an open first-up on his home track. Senior jockey Tye Angland reunites with the sprinter, having won the Weetwood Handicap at Toowoomba in July on the gelding. "He puts himself there and never gives up," Angland said this week. "He is a horse that tries real hard. You'd like to be on one like him every time you went out."
